The Biggest Loser: The One With all the Trash Talking

Week 3 of The Biggest Loser. This week, they start off with a temptation challenge. They put a ton of Chinese food in front of the contestants and tell them that each team will get 5 minutes in the room with the food. Whichever contestant eats the most calories gets a two pound advantage they can give to anyone, and gets the opportunity to match up each contestant with a head to head challenger from the opposite team. Red team's first, and they decide not to eat anything. Black team decides they want the two pounds and want to be able to match people us, so Cassandra eats two fortune cookies at 60 calories a piece. Obviously, she wins and decides to match people up as:

Her vs. Conda
Chism vs. Kim
Chris vs. Mark
Emily vs. Roy
Gail vs. Kimmy
Jeremy vs. Lauren
Megan vs. Buddy
Joe vs. Nancy

The Bachelor: The One With the New Girl

Episode 3 of The Bachelor. We're down to 16 girls. First things first, we meet Ben's sister, Julia. She is excited for him to meet his new girlfriend/fiance/wife. She actually said she was anxious for him to be engaged, which made me laugh. Wouldn't she want him to be married, not engaged? But I digress. He says she would like a lot of the girls, including Courtney. Um. Okay. We'll see.

First one on one date, and it goes to Emily! She immediately says she's afraid of heights. Hmm. Wonder if their date will have something to do with heights. Indeed it does - they're climbing the Golden Gate Bridge. On Chris Harrison's blog, he said the thing about that was that there's no going back down. You have to keep going up. After a few hiccups and a few kisses, they make it to the top.

While they're on the date, the girls actually can see them with their telescope. They also get the card for their 11 on one date (I'm ready for there to be less girls so this number can start being less ridiculous). The girls going on the date are: Blakeley, Casey S, Elyse, Jamie, Kacie B, Monica, Nicki, Rachel, Samantha, Erika, and Jaclyn. Casey S was saying she really wanted a date, so when the camera showed the card, I paused it to see if she was on it (and write down who was so I didn't have to speed type as they called out names) and saw Casey S was pretty high on the list. But when she called them out, she left her until very last. Way to try to be dramatic, Bachelor.

Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-off: The One With Rachael's Help

Episode three of Celebrity Cook-off. Since there's only eight episodes, we're getting closer to the end. Well, I guess you're always getting closer to the end. But that's not the point. Anyways. At the beginning of the episode, Rachael and Guy explain that the contestants will be cooking the favorite meals of three of the judges from Chopped. Also, two of those chefs just got done doing Next Iron Chef. So everyone knows they're good. They also find out they will be going head to head with a chef from the other team.

First up, fried chicken from Marcus Samuelsonn. Guy chooses Coolio and Rachael chooses Lou Diamond Phillips. Lou does a double dipped chicken battering that has the judges worried. He also chooses to make a soy sauce mixture for his chicken. I'm from the South, and just saying, I've never heard of putting a sauce with your fried chicken. Except hot sauce. Which is what Coolio does. He also uses corn starch to thicken his sauce (sounds okay to me) but the judges think that's a bad decision. However, after they taste both dishes, they love them.

The Biggest Loser: The One With the Dumb Bet

Episode Two of The Biggest Loser! It starts with Alison telling them that the person on the winning team with the highest percentage of weight loss will get to choose a person from the other team to give immunity to. She then asks for volunteers. The red team's leaders are Kim and Kimmy. Black team is Emily and Joe. They walk into a room with a gambling table. To make a long story short - they have to bet how much they think their team will lose this week, and whoever bets the highest, forcing the other team to fold, has to lose that much weight this week. If they do, the other team gets a 5 point disadvantage. If they don't do it, the other team gets a 5 point advantage. Red team immediately bets 3.8 percent, which is 94 pounds. Black team folds. Kim and Kimmie think they'll do it, while Joe and Emily really don't think they will. As they keep saying, 94 pounds for week 2 is pretty much impossible. I think that wasn't the smartest bet but maybe that will give them the motivation they need.

The Bachelor: The One With All the Kissing

Episode two of The Bachelor! It picked up where we left off, and had all the girls moving with Ben to Sonoma. Almost immediately, the girls learn who has the first one on one. And guess who it is? Kacie B. I didn't really remember her from the first episode, but I really liked her this episode. She seems genuine (a very rare trait in people on reality shows) and very sweet. She also seems like she's already falling for Ben. They took a trip around Sonoma and he showed her the sights, then they went shopping and she shared an interesting fact about herself - she use to twirl batons. Then, they went to a movie theater and watched a video of clips from their childhood. I thought that was a little intense for a first date, but it was really cute and Ben got choked up. I wasn't super in love with him in the first episode, but him getting choked up about seeing his dad, who had died, was sweet. He now chooses if she gets a rose now or if she immediately goes home. Not surprisingly, she gets the first rose.

While Kacie B. and Ben are on their date, the remaining girls get a note about who goes on their 12 person date. That seems slightly ridiculous to me, but I guess it's better to have a 1 in 12 shot at talking to him than 1 in 18. The 12 girls going on the date are: Blakely, Brittney, Emily, Jaclyn, Jamie, Jenna, Jennifer, Monica, Nicki, Rachel, Samantha, and Shawn. The clue says to get ready to play, or something along those lines. When they arrive at Sonoma's City Square, Ben tells them that playwrights are here to help them perform a play! Some of the girls are expecting Broadway writers, but turns out it is a group of children. They have to audition for the kids, and obviously, some go along with it better than others. I thought it was a dumb decision to not just act like an idiot - obviously that's the point and Ben would appreciate that.

Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off: The One With the Special Brownies

Episode two of Celebrity Cook-Off! The challenge this week, like we saw in the preview, is dessert. Each team has to do 4 dishes in 2 hours. If you can't count, that means Rachael's team is going to have to do an extra dish. Rachael and Guy tell them that 13 pastry students will judge their desserts. Which gives the show credibility. They choose a leader for each group (I wonder why? That seems like an unnecessary thing). Summer is the leader of Team Rachael and Alyssa's the leader of Team Guy. Oh, and here's the twist. One dish on each team needs to have a savory element. The judge from the other team gets to pick that savory ingredient. Rachael's team gets anchovy, and Guy's team gets horseradish.

The Biggest Loser: The One With All the Puking

Episode one of The Biggest Loser. The episode started off introducing the viewers to everyone there. Read after the jump for each person, their weight, how they placed, general comments. All that great stuff you're probably reading this for. They then, as always, had to do a challenge to actually get on the ranch. That would suck, doing everything I'm sure you have to do to get all ready, and then not get in. But I digress. The first challenge was to run a 40 yard dash and the first four teams to cross would be on the show. After that, the second round was to do a puzzle in the center of the 40 yard dash and put it together, then run back and press a button to check it, and run the 40 yard dash. The first 4 teams were on the show. Last, the last two teams would stand on a barrel, holding each other, and the first team to fall off are off the show. After that, they get to choose their trainers. Of course, Bob is the favorite, but every now and then you see someone that wants Dolvett. Here's the big twist of the show though: instead of staying with their partner they came with, they're splitting into trainer teams down the middle. One person from a team will be on one trainer's team, the other person on the other trainer's team. Obviously, the contestants are less than thrilled. After they get over it, they split into the Red Team by Dolvett and the Black Team by Bob. Then they go to the weigh-in to check everyone's percentages and someone goes home from the losing team, except the person with the highest weight loss. Okay. Onto the specifics now.

The Bachelor - The One With All the Girls

Episode one of The Bachelor. This is always the craziest one because the guy doesn't really say anything besides how ready he is to find love, and all the women act ridiculous. Oh. And you can never keep all the women straight. So I'm going to write about each one in the order they came to the Bachelor house, all the things I noted, and if they stayed. After this episode, I'll probably do the whole episode chronologically, but this one is just too crazy to do that with.

Rachel- 27 years old. Blond, wears a red dress. When she walks up, she compliments him on his appearance and is generally nice. She also gets the first one on one with him, and tells him she left her job to go on The Bachelor. No pressure. Just saying, that's intense. When Jenna and Monica get in a fight later (more on that later), she tries to be the peacemaker. Receives the 2nd rose.

Erika- 23 years old. Brunette, wears a purple dress. Her opening is telling Ben he is guilty...of being sexy. How not cute. That seems really cheesy and dumb to me. So besides her being a lawyer, I literally got nothing. Receives the 8th rose.

Jamie- 25 years old. Brunette, wears a red dress. She had one of the opening videos, and it was by far my favorite. She is a nurse, and seems very collected and mature. She did mention she has had some family issues, forcing her to care for her siblings at a young age. Probably explains the maturity. Receives the 1st rose.

Elyse- 24 years old. Brunette, wears a brown dress. She walks up and says she is going to make him sweat. Since they had already explained there was a physical trainer, I assume this is her. Later on, she makes him do some push ups. I assume there is something else to that, but they don't explain it, so I have nothing else to add. Receives the 12th rose.

Jenna- 27 years old. Brunette, wears a white dress. Okay. So this chick is insane. She is extremely oversensitive and over analyzes everything. She stresses about everything she said to Ben, and she asks Monica if she is instantaneously attracted to Ben, and when she doesn't answer how she wants, she starts freaking out. Which causes Monica (who is a little drunk) to get mad, which makes Jenna crazier. Which I'm sure means she's going to stay. Too good for television ratings. Right before the rose ceremony, she locks herself in a closet to hysterically cry. She's just intense. That's all I got. Receives the 17th rose.

Rachael vs Guy Celebrity Cook-Off: The One With Good Advice

First episode of the brand new series, Celebrity Cook-Off. First, we meet the celebrities.

The first person to walk in is Cheech, from Cheech and Chong. He says he's a really good cook - guess we'll have to wait and see. He's playing for weed money. Just kidding. He's playing for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

Next, Miss USA, Alyssa, walks in. Doesn't she have Miss USA duties? I thought all they did was charity stuff. Now she's on a reality television show...to raise money for charity? Um. Okay. She says she's playing for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Joey from NSYNC comes in next. He's been on a lot of reality television shows, so not surprised to see him. He's playing for the Fatone Family Foundation. I've never seen anyone on a reality show play for their own charity, but I like it! Why wouldn't you? Makes perfect sense to me.

Another reality television alum appears - Summer, the Olympic swimmer. I wasn't a big fan of hers on Celebrity Apprentice, so don't expect much support from me. She's playing for Right to Play, which I believe was her charity from Celebrity Apprentice. At least she's consistent.

Next, Aaron Carter arrives. That's right. Aaron Carter. He looks extremely thin. And young. And looks like his strength may not be cooking. But I digress. He dances up to Joey, and they embrace. He is playing for Kids Beating Cancer.

Taylor shows up after Aaron. Lots of singers on this show. I only know that because of the pictures, because, regrettably, I have not heard any on her songs. I'll have to go check one out on YouTube. She says she's not a good cook and expects to go home first. Sounds like good confidence. She's playing for the Cambodian Children's Fund. Random.

Lou Diamond Phillips! I think he's the biggest star so far. He seems as if he realizes that too. I also infer he enjoys commenting on things. Every now and then. Each second of the day. Should be fun. He's playing for Share Our Strength: No Kid Hungry.

Last, and certainly not least, is Coolio. I know. The only way to make this better is if Flava Flav walked in. He seems very strange and energetic. Apparently he has a cooking show and cook book. Not that that's really saying anything. Everyone has a cook book. That's like saying a celebrity is an expert chemist because he has a perfume. He's playing for Music Saves Lives.

Now the two hosts are going to choose. Long story short - Guy chooses: Coolio, Cheech, Alyssa, and Joey. In that order. His choices confuse me, but he seems like he knows what he's doing. Rachael chooses: Lou, Summer, Aaron, and Taylor. I think she got the bad team except Lou. The teams have to make 4 dishes, one for each person, for 150 people. They're holding a food festival.
